Students and teachers of the Dnipropetrovsk Professional College of Arts and Culture performed on the occasion of the Day of Cultural Workers and Masters of Folk Art.
The college teachers and heads of creative teams were awarded diplomas of the Dnipro Regional Council and honours from the chairman of the regional council, Mykola Lukashuk.
"On the Day of Cultural Workers and Masters of Folk Art, we came to those who pass on their skills in this field to the next generations. These are teachers, craftspeople, cultural experts who teach our children. It is important for students to adopt their teachers' enthusiasm for developing our culture and rebuilding the country. After all, Ukraine is primarily known for its cultural heritage," said Lilia Gyrenko, Head of the Department of Culture and Sports at the Dnipro Regional Council.
The college has a total of 850 students, who are taught by highly qualified professionals so that they can continue to preserve and develop the cultural traditions of the Dnipropetrovsk region.
"Our student enrollment is no worse than before the full-scale war. They study choreography, vocals, librarianship, pop instruments, management, design, and art. This year we even opened a new speciality, which is unique for Ukraine during the war. The college is developing in a modern direction - audiovisual art and production. We have a big competition for this speciality. We are also engaged in volunteer work to support our defenders and those affected by the war. In general, our students have a patriotic fervour and spread this awareness in society. I am proud of our entire team," said Inna Rudkevych, director of the Dnipropetrovsk Professional College of Arts and Culture.
