The first Lviv residency of art managers took place, they talked about the meanings in modern education of art managers!

On May 25, a meeting in a new format of students and teachers of the Dnipropetrovsk Professional Art College of Culture, the Lviv National Academy of Arts, the Ivan Franko Lviv National University and the Lviv Professional College of Culture and Arts was held in the Ukryt of the LNAM and with the support of the NGO "Agency of Cultural Practices".

The goal of the event was to launch a basic format of cooperation between representatives and students of higher and professional pre-higher education institutions that train managers of socio-cultural activities, it is expected that the event will be held annually on the basis of the relevant institutions, to develop a base for broad collaboration and determine common positions; to demonstrate the desire for unity and understanding of the important role of managers of socio-cultural activities in the field of culture.

Representatives of each institution spoke about the current context and their present, and students in groups developed formats for cooperation and interaction within the community.

In general, with the support of the NGO "Agency of Cultural Practices", 2nd-year students of the OPP "Management of Socio-Cultural Activities" spent 5 days in Lviv and got acquainted with the main cultural institutions of the city. During the residency, the participants not only discussed opportunities for cooperation, but also immersed themselves in the processes of modern art management, got acquainted with real cases and practices. The participants had the opportunity to take part in discussions on innovative approaches in art education, as well as identify the main challenges facing managers of socio-cultural activities. In addition, the possibilities of using digital tools in the promotion of culture were discussed, which allows preserving traditions and at the same time meeting the modern needs of the audience.

Among the key topics of the meeting was the issue of creating new exchange programs for students and teachers, which would contribute to expanding professional horizons and deepening cultural dialogue. In particular, the possibility of internships for students in different regions of Ukraine was discussed, which would allow uniting students from different regions for the development of the national cultural environment. The participants emphasized that it is the integration of such programs into the education system that will help young specialists gain more experience and form a network of professional contacts.

During the residency, special attention was paid to the role of art managers in supporting national identity in the context of globalization. Teachers and students discussed how important it is for specialists in this field not only to possess modern management tools, but also to be able to promote Ukrainian culture at the international level. Such an approach will help future art managers better adapt to changes in the cultural sphere and preserve the authenticity of national traditions.

During the residency, the students had the opportunity to visit the Lviv National Academy of Arts with an excursion, where they got acquainted with the history and features of the educational process of one of the leading art institutions of Ukraine. They were given a tour of the workshops, exhibition halls and classrooms, where students of various specialties create their works. They also talked with teachers and students of the academy, discussed the features of the development of contemporary art and opportunities for young artists and art managers in the field of culture. The visit allowed the participants to better understand the principles of education and inspired further creative projects and cooperation.

The students also visited the Lviv Professional College of Culture and Arts, where they were treated to an exciting excursion and a unique opportunity to see a student theater performance. During the excursion, the participants learned about the features of studying at the college, visited creative workshops and classrooms, where students master stage skills and the art of performance. This visit was a great example of how art unites young people and helps them express important social and cultural themes.
